PADs (Public Access Defibrillator Units)
Kemnay Community Council Resilience Group is fundraising for replacement batteries, pads and starter kits for the 5 Public Access Defibrillators (PADs) we are fortunate to have located around the village. (Click on this link for more information Defibrillators | Kemnay Village )
Currently replacement equipment costs are
£239 for a defib battery
£67 for a set of pads (2 required per defib unit)
£9.50 (for a starter kit (1 per defib unit)
And should a defib unit need to be replaced, the cost would be £998
The defib units have been accessed several times over the past few years and people are reassured that they are there should they or someone they know suffer a cardiac arrest.
The Scottish Ambulance Service knows where our PADs are located and will direct a caller to the nearest unit. You can also find the location of defib units via the DefibFinder Map on https://www.defibfinder.uk
